| Anat Baniel Anat Baniel is one of the world's leading authorities in finding ways to access the brain to overcome pain and limitation, increase vitality and help children with special needs make the impossible possible. It was through her success in working with children that she discovered the nine essentials the brain requires in order to transform pain and limitation into vitality, well-being and skill. She has been called a “miracle worker” for her ability to bring new life and vitality to literally thousands of people. Anat insists what she teaches people to do is scientific, based on deceptively simple applications that virtually anyone can learn. In the past 25 years, Anat has trained over 1000 practitioners that bring the knowledge and practice to people all over the world. She has a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Tel Aviv University. Her approach to vital, creative, and energetic life is based upon providing the brain with what it requires for us to grow, evolve and thrive. Guest Book Info: “KIDS BEYOND LIMITS” The Anat Baniel Method to awaken the brain and transform the life of your child with special needs Breakthrough results with Autism, Asperger’s, brain damage, ADHD, undiagnosed developmental delays and more By Anat Baniel Forward by Michael Merzenich Pub date: March 27, 2012. Perigree Trade. Paperback – 288 pages. In this book Anat Baniel presents the parent and professional with a new, scientifically based paradigm for understanding how to help a child with special needs overcome her or his limitations. The focus is on the brain and the remarkable ability of the brain to change itself and form new connections and patterns to overcome limitations. The child is able to do what he or she couldn’t do before, not because muscles were stretched or because they were drilled for hours each day in an attempt to get them to sit, talk, walk, relate to others, read or write, but because the child’s brain has found alternative ways of arriving at those capabilities. The results defy accepted norms and expectations and are often described by parents as miraculous. So much so that oftentimes once a child has improved their doctor would say, “That must have been a misdiagnosis or spontaneous recovery.” At the same time, more and more parents, doctors and other professionals are realizing that this new approach provides remarkable new possibilities for the child. Kids Beyond Limits provides the parent with practical tools – the 9 Essentials – with which to immediately wake up their child’s brain to change and create what wasn’t there before. The Essentials are intuitive and easy to learn and integrate into daily life with their child. The parent can begin to see transformations right away, small and large, in their child. As Dr. Scott Young (Director of Evidence Based Research at Kaiser Permanente) said: “There is nothing out there like it.” And as Dr. Michael Merzenich (Neuroscientist at UCSF, member of National Academy of Sciences) has written: “Baniel has developed powerful, practical strategies for improving your abilities and building a better, stronger brain that are supported by the neuroscience of brain plasticity.” Trish Karlinski (mother of a 5-year old with Cerebral Palsy) said: “Traditional therapies are all about the limitations of the child; Anat’s work is all about the possibilities.” |
